6-8 Academy Part 1 & 2
Part 1: Earth Science Part 2: Physical Science




Experience a total immersion in lessons designed to implement the 2010 science TEKS for grades 6-8. During this 2 day professional development, participants will explore hands-on, student-centered lessons framed in the research-based 5E instructional model. These sessions provide connections to and strengthen participants' knowledge of College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS), English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), and Response to Intervention (RtI). On day 1, we will revisit Part 1, Earth Science, and Day 2 will be the all NEW Motion and Forces.
