Proactive, Research-based Instruction for Math Effectiveness ~ P.R.I.M.E Time! PLUS+

Join us as we look ahead and prepare effective instruction for upcoming content. This “just-in-time” training will focus on critical big ideas on the immediate horizon.  We will dig into critical TEKS in upcoming units, dissect the big ideas within the standards, and experience activities designed to promote conceptual understanding.  

New for 2016-17, the PLUS+ provides added layers to support instructional planning and implementation.  We will make explicit connections to characteristics of effective math pedagogy and explore the rubrics for teacher evaluation related to T-TESS dimensions.  As we deepen understanding of the critical content, we will explore examples of effective math instruction and see how it relates to teacher evaluation.  Teachers will leave PRIMEd with content knowledge and effective instructional skills necessary to equip students for STAAR and mathematical success.

This session is designed to support classroom teachers, instructional specialists, special education teachers, inclusion teachers, and instructional aides.
